Former Celtic and Scotland star Danny Mcgrain, who by then was playing for Hamilton Accies, was pictured in September 1987 signing copies of his book‘in Sunshine or in Shadow’ at the town’s John Menzies store.

Danny was pictured with May Stillie of Whitehill and Ronnie Thomson of Meikle Earnock.
