MSP’S advice to pupils at senior awards ceremony

Pupils and staff at John Ogilvie High gathered for the school’s annual senior awards ceremony.

In an address to the youngsters, she urged them to aim high and follow their dreams.

Head teacher Eddie Morrison outlined the many successes the school enjoyed in 2016/17, both in terms of academic attainment and service to the school and community.

The theme for the evening had been ‘Serving the Common Good’ and Andy Flynn from St Andrew’s Hospice paid tribute to the youngsters’ fundraisin­g achievemen­ts, telling the audience that the school has raised £92,000 for the charity since 2008.
