Margaret Meek is alleged to have breached an order imposed on February 10 last year prohibitin­g her from shouting, talking or swearing at such a volume as to be audible outwith her Craigbank Street home.

The 55-year-old is said to have shouted, screamed and swore so loudly at her home last Thursday, September 28, that it was audible outside the premises. She denied the charge when she appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court the following day.

Sheriff Andrew Mcintyre set the trial for October 27 with an intermedia­te diet of October 16. He refused Meek bail and she was remanded in custody meantime.
