Danny Redmond blasted Hamilton’s performance against Rangers on Friday night and said they’re determined to put it right when Motherwell visit in a fortnight.
The midfield ace scored his first goal of the season inside the opening minute of the clash at the Superseal, but the Ibrox side fought back to win comfortably, despite going down to 10 men early in the second half.
Redmond said: “We’re very disappointed as a team, with the standards we’ve set this season, and the performance wasn’t there. We conceded a few easy goals, and could have been a lot more ruthless at the other end, so overall it’s a disappointing night.
“That’s one of the poorest displays of the season and the lads aren’t happy, but we can only put that right the next time.
“Rangers are a good side, they move the ball well, and I think we could have communicated a lot more and helped each other, but we have a couple of weeks now to recuperate and we need to pick ourselves up and go again.
“The international break is a chance for us, as a side, to get ourselves together and get a couple of weeks training hard with the gaffer, and go again against Motherwell.
“Derbies are always a big game, so we need to pick ourselves up, because we know we can do a lot better than our performance suggests. We can only show that against Motherwell and prove to the fans that we are good enough.”
