Just not good enough

-

Greg Docherty says Hamilton owe their fans a derby win over Motherwell, after their“disheartening”defeat against Rangers.

The midfielder didn’t pull any punches following the 4-1 defeat, and said it simply isn’t acceptable.

He said:“that 15-minute spell is so hard to put a finger on, it’s really disheartening for that to happen.

“We looked like a bunch of lost boys at times, and we all need to give ourselves a massive shake.

“That’s four games on the bounce that we’ve lost and we should at least have taken some points from them – we took the lead in two of them – and I feel so bad.

“We’ve let the fans down again, massively, and that’s not us, that was amateur stuff out there and we all know that.

“We have a massive derby game coming up now, and maybe that’s a good thing, because it’s a chance to rectify that – it’s just a shame it’s a couple of weeks away.

“We need to take points. We’ve shot ourselves in the foot by not building on our good start, that good start is now gone, it’s well out the window.

“That’s a month of no results, that’s nowhere near good enough. It’s relegation form, and we’re not going to fight relegation this year, that’s not us.

“Every single one of us in there knows the task at hand, and we’ve put ourselves right back down there.”
