Larkhalland Districtvolunteer Group

The group’s third tea dance was held on Wednesday, October 18, with dancing to the sounds of Johnny Weir.

The event was well attended and everyone enjoyed a feast of sandwiches and home baked scones and cakes before taking to the floor.

The next dance will be sometime in November, so watch out for more information.

The genealogy group continue to meet on a Monday at 1pm and are now coming to grips with their family history.

The group have purchased the library edition of Ancestry.com, allowing participants access to information from all over the world. If you would like to give it a try, just pop in any Monday at 1pm, to enrol.

There are spaces at our exercise groups on Thursday at 9am and Friday at 1pm. Why not get yourself into gear and join us for some fun exercises and a bit of banter?

Volunteer minibus drivers are in high demand. Can you help out a couple of hours a week to help us transport our services users to and from activities and events?

Your contribution could make a huge difference to older people in the community, helping prevent isolation and loneliness in Larkhall and surrounding districts.
