Community group win award

-

Community Links (South Lanarkshire) have been awarded the Healthy Working Lives Silver Award as part of their ongoing effort to promote health and wellbeing in the workplace.

The group are a community consultation and engagement charity who are trying to identify what residents consider to be assets and work with them and partners to improve the area. They work behind the scenes helping volunteers with events like Fairhill Fun Day and youth clubs at the Hillhouse Hub.

Healthy Working Lives support organisations in promoting a healthier and safer workplace and Community Links have worked hard to gain their Silver Award.

Anne Marie Lyons Neil, administration and information officer for Community Links, said: “It’s great to see our employer giving us the opportunity to participate in fun and healthy activities in the work place.

“There are huge benefits for companies in joining the scheme such as reducing absence and sickness – we have great attendance records.”
