Festive fun in the pipeline

-

The Strathaven Choral Society are gearing up for their annual Christmas concert.

‘A Festive Feast of Christmas Music’will take place on Sunday, December 3, at Strathaven Scout and Guide Centre as the group look to raise the roof by having some festive fun.

This concert will have a mix of old favourites – including some Carl Jenkins, alongside well-known songs and festive arrangements.

The Coalburn Silver Band will join the Strathaven group and play some of their own pieces as well.

There will be no tickets in advance so everyone pays at the door.

Doors open at 6.15pm with the show starting at 7pm.

Entry is £10, which includes a programme and also a warm drink and mince pies.

Young people under the age of 18 go free.

This year the society will be supported by St Andrew’s Hospice volunteers who will be helping out with snacks and raffles.

The choir is always looking for new members, so if you can sing, the society will welcome you along.

All contact and rehearsal details can be accessed online by visiting www. strathavenchoral.com or check out their Facebook page.
