Bellshill man Don Lennox was set to row across the Atlantic in less than a month in December 2007.

Don (40), who was in training, said he had no fears over the endurance test and intended to do so in fewer than 35 days, eight hours and 30 minutes, which had been set by a French crew in 1992.
