Temps working hard

-

David Templeton is working hard to improve his fitness further so he can grab more goals to fire Hamilton up the Premiership table.

The winger took his tally to three for the season in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Aberdeen, but wants to get more.

He said:“after the game on Saturday I should have had five; missing the two chances in the first half was disappointing, but it was nice to get the equaliser and get my head over those two that I missed.

“At half[-time I went in disappointed, especially with the second chance because Aberdeen scored straight from it, but I knew if I got another chance I’d make sure I tucked it away, and thankfully I managed it.

“Coming back from the injury I had before I signed here, I was always going to get a couple of niggles, and the one I had this season was unexpected.

“I worked hard to make sure I was in good shape and I’m still working hard just now to get myself in even better shape.

“I’m feeling the benefits of doing that, with the physio and sports scientists.

“I’ve had two starts recently, I’ve felt I’ve done quite well in both of them, so if I can keep myself fit and playing every week I’m sure I’ll get a lot more.

“The key is staying fit and playing as many games as I can.

“I’m feeling good and I want to play as much football as possible.”
