Canzo: We should have beaten Dons
Martin Canning was pleased to take a point from Aberdeen but reckons Hamilton should have had all three.
Dougie Imrie’s free-kick opener was cancelled out by Greg Stewart before Kari Arnason put the Dons ahead. But David Templeton bagged a priceless equaliser. The gaffer had mixed emotions and said: “We could have won the game and I probably had more of a feeling of disappointment than happiness after the game.
“That said, the attitude and performance was up there with our best of the season so I can’t be disappointed. But to not get three points felt a little bit like a sore one.
“There have been games when we’ve gone 1-0 up and not done quite enough to get the win. On Saturday we got the performance but not the result, but it’s a point against a strong Aberdeen team, so it’s one we have to take and be happy with.
“We’re unbeaten in three but that’s two home games we would have liked to have done better from, but there was a good away performance from which we won.”
