The venue was listed as finalist in three categories – Operational Excellence, Owners’ Experience and the #Topspot award at the Racecourse Association (RCA) Showcase and Awards – and scooped the Owners’ Experience title.

The glittering event, at Newbury Racecourse on November 16, celebrated first-class customer experience, in partnership with Moet Hennessy and Racing Post.

Vivien Currie, chief executive at Hamilton Park Racecourse, said: “The annual Showcase and Awards is a fantastic event where we share best practice and acknowledge excellence in the industry. To be nominated as finalists in three categories was quite incredible.

“It’s is real testament to the hard work, creativity and industry expertise which went into the planning and execution of the 2017 season here at Hamilton Park. We continually strive to develop as a business and a sporting venue year on year.”

The success came as Vivien was also announced as the only UK winner in the Best in Hospitality category of the CEO of the Year Awards 2017 as held by CEO Monthly magazine.

It rounds off another fantastic season, which included the unveiling of the stunning new grandstand bar and restaurant facilities.

Vivien added: “It has been very much a team effort over the last year and we have enjoyed some wonderful highlights. It’s always pleasing to be recognised for all that has been achieved as it makes all the endless hours of hard work worthwhile.”
