Larkhalland District volunteers

The coffee morning event was a huge success and we had a tremendous turn with over £1000 raised. Thanks goes to everyone involved both before and during the event, including, volunteers and staff in the kitchen, serving and manning the stalls and activities, all who donated money and gifts and all our stallholders who paid for their tables.

A huge thanks also to all the local shops and businesses who generously donated prizes for our tombola and raffle giving us the opportunity to raise more money.

This money will help us to continue with our groups and activities in Larkhall and surrounding districts.

Names being taken for our next session of computer classes for the complete beginner, due to start at the beginning of next year. Our competent tutor will lead you through an easy but informative workbook introducing you to basic computer skills including the use of word, internet and face book. Give us a call for more information and to book a place.

Walking and exercise are good for mind, body and soul, so why not join one of our groups. Walks are on a Tuesday, leaving our office at 10am and exercise classes are twice a week on a Thursday at 9am and a Friday at 1pm. Booking is required. Give us a call and we will tempt you with information on these services.

Do you enjoy a bit of gardening, visits to other gardens, planting and basket decoration? Please come along and join us on a Wednesday morning from 10am till 12pm every week.

All we want for Christmas is“some more volunteers”. Could that be you? Lots and lots of opportunities available. Drop in any time Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm for a look round.
