Hamilton grabbed a priceless win against Ross County in an eventful match at the Superseal.

Five goals, two red cards, six bookings, two penalties and a host of top saves told the story of this match.

After the dust had settled Hamilton had their first home three points since August 12 – a nine-game stretch – Georgios Sarris had his first ever Accies goal, and Ross County went back up to Dingwall with a bubbling sense of injustice.

Dougie Imrie’s first-half penalty goal was levelled by Craig Curran, Sarris put Accies ahead again only for Kenny van der Weg to equalise, and then Ali Crawford’s free kick was headed past Scott Fox by defender Jamie Lindsay.

County started well and created the first chance in eight minutes when a raking long ball released Chris Eagles, but Sarris forced him wide and he could only find the sidenetting.

A flowing Hamilton move four minutes later ended with Ioannis Skondras sending a shot inches over from just outside the box on the right.

In 17 minutes Danny Redmond played a brilliant one-two with Rakish Bingham but Fox got enough of a touch on his volley to prevent it from flying into the bottom right corner.

It was County’s turn to have a near miss three minutes later when a flowing move down the right ended with Curran sending an angled shot just over the top left corner.

Greg Docherty was unlucky not to break the deadlock in 23 minutes when he got on
