Plenty of festive spirit at Taylor High
Some of Taylor High’s senior pupils are pictured with the school’s famous hampers that were raffled at the Christmas fair.
As always, they were very popular with visitors on the day, and helped to raise vital funds.
And there was plenty of festive spirit at the school before the Christmas break.
Many Taylor pupils were involved in the North Lanarkshire Schools Christmas Concerts.
Talented pupils ranging from first year to sixth year took part in both the junior and senior concerts over two evenings at the Motherwell Concert Hall.
The young people featured in a range of musical ensembles including a jazz orchestra, wind band, wind ensemble, preparatory band and the North Lanarkshire Chorus.
And really embracing the true meaning of Christmas, pupils were also busy collecting donations for the parcels which are distributed to locals in need each year during the festive season.
Working with local conferences of Saint Vincent de Paul, kind-hearted youngsters donate items to the parcels and then deliver them to those who are in need of them in the week leading to Christmas.
The children have been given information on the goods to be donated through their religious education classes.
And each year many parcels are made up containing items that will bring smiles to a lot of faces in the area come Christmas.
