Tartan and Tiara fundraiser
The Bothwell Bridge hotel will host a‘tartan and Tiara’ball this weekend in honour of Hamilton student Eilidh Mchugh who passed away last year.
Eilidh lost her fight in March after a short battle with an aggressive and rare form of cancer.
Since then her friends and family have been on a fundraising mission and to date have raised over £73,000 for the Beatson Cancer Charity who cared for Eilidh at the time.
Lots of fundraisers have been organised over the past few months for Eilidh’s fund, such as 10k runs, fun days, sponsored cycles, a ladies’lunch and various other different events.
Tickets for this event have sold out but donations can still be made.
Eilidh’s sister Kerry Mchugh said they are looking forward to the ball this weekend, saying: “We completed the Santa Dash at the end of last year as another means of fundraising as a group in Eilidh’s memory.
“The Santa Dash was our last event of 2017 before our much-anticipated Eilidh’s Tartan and Tiara ball this weekend which we are really looking forward to.
“As we have said all year, thank you so much for everyone’s support and fundraising generosity.
“It is appreciated beyond words.”
All money raised will go to Eilidh’s fund for the Beatson Cancer Charity.
