Cup tie will be a real test

-

David Templeton expects a tough time of it against Motherwell , but hopes to get on the ball more and help Hamilton get through Saturday’s Scottish Cup fourth round clash at Fir Park.

It’s a further test for the winger, who is building his fitness all the time as he tries to get back to the level he was at before injury struck a few years ago.

Templeton said:“they’ll be looking to put that right and, especially with it being in the cup, we know it’s going to be a difficult game.

“I thought they started well against us the last time, but the boys did well, we played really well in the second half, and deserved to win it convincingly.

“I think we’ll expect a similar game. We know what they’re like, they’re big and physical, and we will need to try and get on the ball and try to play, to try and create as many chances as we can, to give ourselves the best chance of winning the game.

“It was my first derby at Fir Park and it was a difficult game for myself up top against big, physical players. I didn’t get on the ball as much as I would have liked, so hopefully if I’m involved on Saturday I can see a lot more of it.”

A punishing schedule coming up is also going to be a test for Temps, but one he aims to grab.

He said:“it will be a bit of a test when it’s the games coming up, Saturday-wednesday, Saturdaywednesday; I don’t think I’ve had anything like that yet, but I’ve been training and playing long enough this season to feel fine for them.”
