Jamie Maxwell (26), of Ettrick Avenue, Bellshill, was handed a community payback order when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

He admitted shouting abuse, banging on a door and forcing entry to a flat in Marian Drive on December 17. He also admitted breaching bail conditions by approaching Danielle Kirwan at the Marian Drive address on February 1.

Maxwell spent three weeks in custody after the bail breach. Sheriff Vincent Smith put him under supervision for one year and ordered him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
