The bus will leave the village at 11am. The next fundraiser is the whist drive to be held in the village hall on Friday, March 2 at 7.30pm. The winners for the January 200 club draw are as follows – 1st, M Mcdonald; 2nd, E Moore and S Moore; 3rd, R Johnstone, M Godfrey and L Ion. The winners for the February 200 Club draw are as follows – 1st, S Campbell; 2nd, H Semple and S Moore; 3rd, H Keenan, R Andrew and M Andrews. Camera Club Earlier this month Strathaven Camera Club visited Armadale Camera Club as part of the GDPU image league and the final score was Armadale 305 points to Strathaven’s 331 points. Strathaven managed to gain the two top-scoring images, both with the maximum 20 points each. They were David Spink’s “Male Kingfisher” and Robert Young’s “Throwing in the Towel”. Members are also reminded that on Thursday, March 1, the club is hosting the Clydesdale Cup competitio­n against Hamilton Camera Club and Clydesdale Camera Club. Additional­ly, the final hand-in night for the club’s annual exhibition is on Thursday, March 15. Community Council The next meeting of Strathaven Community Council will take place on Tuesday, March 27, at 7pm in the Ballgreen Hall. Charity The annual Strathaven Hotel ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ event will take place on Monday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 20. The hotel will open its doors from 10am. Tickets are priced £35 per person.
