Valentine’s Day assault

A Hamilton man was handed a 12-month supervision order after he admitted assaulting his ex-girlfriend on Valentine’s Day.

Hamilton Sheriff Court heard Euan Meikle (31) shouted at Lyndsie Blackshaw, struck her on the head with his hands, pushed her to the floor and threw a suitcase at her at his home in Glasgow Road on February 14 this year.
