Event to be held

Residents of Hillhouse, Udston and Burnbank are being invited to attend a community consultation.

The ‘Our Place Our Plan’ session will take place on Wednesday, March 28, between 3pm and 8pm in the Burnbank Centre.

It comes following a consultation held by community development workers from Community Links.

The team consulted with 550 households throughout the areas between November 2017 and February this year to help identify community priorities which will help form a neighbourhood plan.

A spokesperson for the group said: “For the plan to make a positive difference we need to work together and to start this process. You are invited to come along, comment on the priorities and help identify where £60,000 of funding from the Communities Choices fund will be invested within Hillhouse, Udston and Burnbank.”

Drinks and light snacks will be available, with a soft play area for children also on offer. There will be information on community-led projects and volunteering.

A shuttle service will be available throughout the day, operating half-hourly from 3.30pm between Hillhouse and Earnock Community Centre, John Ogilvie High School and the Burnbank Centre.
