Annual health fair at Dalziel High
Youngsters at Dalziel High celebrated the school’s 24th annual health fair which had the theme of ‘find the Balance’.
Every class in S1-3 and all P7 pupils from the associated primaries joined in.
Each group visited five main stalls and experienced first aid training, apps on mindfulness in the ‘calm area’, solved brain puzzles and received information on healthy eating.
A school spokesperson said:“at Dalziel we take health promotion very seriously. We aim to create opportunities for every pupil of Dalziel to become the healthiest and most balanced versions of themselves and the health fair is part of this process.
“Health and wellbeing should be a top priority for us all and we should aim to find the right life balance to ensure we are as healthy as possible.”
As always pupils competed in sports events in house groups. At lunch time every day this week sporting events such as beach volleyball, futsal and a ‘Bring It On ’dance competition took place.
There was an Anthony Nolan registration day and the opportunity to donate blood.
