Nan’s a mum in a million

Nan Dickson of Hamilton was declared Mum in a Million in March 1988, after winning a competition at the town’s Woolworth store.

Son John (13) correctly answered questions in a family quiz and his tie-breaker about why his mum was the best moved judges to award Mrs Dickson a bottle of champagne, box of chocolates and a certificate.
