The Bothwell Road Action Group (BRAG) led a community clean-up in the park last week.

Volunteers young and old, armed with litter pickers and bags, spent last Tuesday (April 3) lifting rubbish and various other items that had been dumped in the park.

BRAG’S Peter Mcghee said: “a big thanks to all our volunteers, the team from South Lanarkshire Council Countryside Rangers and Outlet Play resource for all their help .

“A special thanks to Greggs in the New Cross Centre in Hamilton for their donations for all the volunteers.

“We filled 16 bags and one box of glass, and collected one gas canister, a scooter and a scaffolding pole.”
