Hamil­ton Townswom­ens’ Guild held their lat­est meet­ing on Mon­day, April 9.

Chair Sheena Mac­don­ald wel­comed ladies and vis­i­tors to Low Wa­ters Hall, in Eliot Cres­cent.

The speaker for the evening was Ch­eryl Gold­berg and her sub­ject was ‘Be­ing Jewish: A Woman’s Per­spec­tive.’

She spoke of women within the home, within the Jewish com­mu­nity and their role at spe­cial events in the Jewish cal­en­dar.

A vote of thanks was given by Alison Raf­ferty.

The guild’s next meet­ing will be held on Mon­day, May 14, when Dale Gorm­ley, ac­com­pa­nied by his dog He­ston, will talk about ‘ca­nine part­ners’.

All ladies will be made most wel­come.
