Latest county A&estats revealed
The latest statistics for Hairmyre’s A&E department have shown a slight dip in performance.
Figures for the week ending Sunday, March 25, reveal that 90.4 per cent of patients were admitted or discharged within the Scottish Government fourhour target.
This is a slight drop on the previous week which saw 91.2 per cent of patients seen within the target time.
The NHS Lanarkshire average was 90.9 per cent and the NHS Scotland average was 88.3 per cent – which Hairmyres exceeded.
Meanwhile, Hairmyres also saw a better level of performance than University Hospital Wishaw where 87.4 per cent of patients were admitted or discharged within the four-hour target.
But Hairmyres fared worse than Monklands in Airdrie which recorded a figure of 95.5 per cent for the same week – above the government target.
NHS Lanarkshire say all staff work hard to ensure patients are seen as quickly as possible – but urge the public to make use of community services.
