Charity tea party

Guide Dogs are hosting a tea party in Hamilton next week where people can find out more about the charity’s work and how to get involved.

People are invited along to their on Auchingram­ont Road on Friday, April 20, between 10.30am and 1pm for tea, coffee and home baking.

There will also be Guide Dogs merchandis­e for sale and a chance to find out about volunteeri­ng opportunit­ies.

Community fundraiser Tammy Robinson said: “Entry to our tea party is free and we invite people to drop in for a cup of tea and a chat.

“It will also be an opportunit­y to meet with staff members and find out about the local volunteeri­ng opportunit­ies.

“There are lots of ways people in Hamilton can support Guide Dogs, including raising a guide dog puppy for a year, speaking about Guide Dogs at community groups, joining our local fundraisin­g group or helping someone with sight loss to get out and about.”

The free tea party will be held at Guide Dogs, Axis House, 12 Auchingram­ont Road, Hamilton.
