Town House dance show
More than 400 primary school pupils from South Lanarkshire took part in a spectacular evening of dance.
The children have all been taking part in South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture’s Active School dance programme and were given the chance to show their progress at the recent annual show in Hamilton Town House.
With so many outstanding acts, the show had to be split into two parts.
Chair of South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, Councillor David Watson, said:“putting on one dance show on this scale is quite impressive, but to manage two on the same evening in the same venue is a spectacular achievement.
“The pupils put a lot of hard work into learning their routines, and everyone in the Active Schools Team has done a brilliant job, with the support of the schools, on the dance programme and organising the shows.
“The Town House team work very closely with Active Schools to ensure that the event runs smoothly.
“The children experience the same professional environment that all theatre shows, bands, and visiting artists get when they appear in our fantastic venue.”
