Tay­lor pupils had fun on the slopes

These Tay­lor High pupils re­cently en­joyed a trip to the slopes of Italy.

The sec­ond-years vis­ited Pila with the PE de­part­ment.

A school spokesper­son said: “our young peo­ple en­joyed the slopes. Many were un­able to ski at the start and be­came pros by the end of the week.

“They re­laxed in the evenings with some ac­tiv­i­ties such as eat­ing Ital­ian pizza and danc­ing the night away with a disco.

“An ab­so­lutely fan­tas­tic time was had by all, our young peo­ple were a credit to Tay­lor High and Scot­land.”

Mean­while, the Kick­start The­atre Com­pany vis­ited Tay­lor High as part of their tour of sec­ondary schools in North La­nark­shire.

The tal­ented ac­tors show­cased their pro­duc­tion about mak­ing the right lifestyle choices to the third-year co­hort. The play fo­cuses around the is­sues of under-age drinking, anti-social be­hav­iour, drug abuse, and is­sues sur­round­ing social media.

It taught key les­sons to the chil­dren, to help them make the right de­ci­sion if they come across chal­leng­ing is­sues.
