They’re in the money!
£5400 windfall
Community groups across Hamilton and the surrounding areas are set to share £5400 in grants.
South Lanarkshire Council were set to dish out the money following approval at this week’s Hamilton Area Committee.
A number of groups across were in line to be given the green light for cash. They include Trinity Church Woman’s Group in Hamilton, who were to receive £200 for an outing. Ferniegair Old Folk Association will use their £200 for a trip.
The Hamilton and District Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild could pick up £250 for an outing and entrance fees.
Eddlewood Bowling Club’s senior section could receive £250 for an outing.
And the other awards were: High Blantyre Primary Parent Council (£250); Trinity Church Guild, Larkhall (£250); 112th Lanarkshire Beaver Scouts, Hamilton (£250); St Ninian’s ALMA Club, Hamilton (£500); Quarter Parish Friendship Group (£200); Hamilton South Church Guild (£200); Hamilton South Presbyterial Council Guild (£200); Low Waters Miners’ Welfare Bowling Club (£400); Dalserf Church Guild (£180); Bothwell and Uddingston Probus Club (£200); Hamilton Senior Citizens (£200); Trinity Lunch Club, Hamilton (£200); Eddlewood Senior Citizens’ Bowling Games Club (£200); the Philips Electronics Pensioners’ Association (£200); 1st Larkhall Girls’ Brigade (£350); Larkhall Congregational Church Women’s Fellowship (£250); Fairhill and Laighstonehall Leisure Club (£200); and Larkhall Heritage Group (£250).
