The Stonehouse Gala Day group has revealed this year’s Gala Week plans.

The events will kick-off with the primary six and seven unisex children’s football competition on Tuesday, May 29.

This will take part at the Tileworks Park between 6 and 8pm.

Wednesday, May 30, will see the Family Car Treasure Hunt, which leaves St Ninian’s Church car park from 6.15pm onwards. There is a £5 per car entry fee. The Family Quiz and Games night will be held at St Ninian’s Church Hall on Thursday, May 31 between 6.30 and 8.30pm.

There is a maximum of six people per team, and the event is free to attend.

The judging of the best decorated house and best windows will be held on Friday, June 1 from 6.30pm.

This will be followed by the gardening competition, organised and judged by Stonehouse Brighter Village. Judging will be held between 7 and 8pm, approximately. Entry to the contest is free. For more information, email brightervillage@keepitstonehouse. co.uk or call 01698 793654.

The highly-anticipated Gala Day will take place on Saturday, June 2.

The parade will assemble at the Lifestyles Centre from 10.45am.

Judging is from 11am, with the parade leaving at 11.30am prompt.
