St John The Baptist Church, Uddingston

On Saturday, June 16, mass is at 10am to pray for respect for life followed by a silent witness for life chain at Uddingston Cross from 11am. Fr Towey urges as many as possible to join this prayer witness chain to support respect for life from conception to a natural death. Please come and join us.

Our SVDP group are organising a senior citizens outing to Largs on Wednesday, July 4. Sheet in church porch for names.

One place is available for the pilgrimage to Medjugorje on August 30-September 6. The cost is £599 for a week half board.

On Monday the padre pio prayer group meet after the 9.30am mass and a silent prayer vigil for life is held from 8pm to 9pm. The SVDP meet at 6.30pm on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays the divine mercy group meet at 3pm in the oratory and a prayer and praise group from 8pm-9pm. AA meeting at 8pm in the hall. The prayer garden is open Mondays to Saturdays 10am7pm. Church cleaning is on Friday mornings after mass if anyone would like to help.

The Gonzaga Project for young people16-26 years meet on Tuesdays at 7pm, the rosary club meet in our primary school at lunchtime on Thursdays and our after school club for P6 and P7 pupils meet on Mondays. New members are most welcome.

Sunday masses: vigil 4.30pm, 10am, noon, 6pm. Weekday mass: 9.30am daily. Rosary: 9.10am Monday - Saturday. Confessions: Saturday 9.30am -9.55am and after vigil mass.
