Family benefit from taking CBD product

- Kirsten Mcstay

In March this year the advertiser reported on how the life of a Hamilton schoolgirl has been transformed since she started taking `medicinal cannabis oil’in tea.

The substance used by ayvia parkinson – who has a condition called episodic ataxia Type 2, which causes severe migraines, vertigo, and dysbraxia –comes from Hope CBD.

ayvia’s mum, paula parkinson, said:“with ayvia’s conditions, it was usually a struggle in the morning for school and work as she didn’t listen to a thing she was told. “after trying this CBD tea with her, I noticed a big difference. everything she was doing in the morning was a lot calmer and we could get out of the house at a suitable time in the morning.

“Because of her global development delays, everything ayvia did was always a struggle – from the start to when she went to bed. Now, everything she is asked, she does it, with no problem at all.”

ayvia’s grandmother patricia Dalton has also been using CBD for over a year.

patricia was in a car crash over five years ago which left her housebound and in serious pain.

she was taking eight forms of medication to help her when she decided to try CBD oil.

The 54 year-old said she noticed the difference almost immediately.

Until recently, medicinal cannabis oil wasn’t sold in high street stores.

The co-founder of Hope CBD says he is delighted that his company’s product helps so many people in different ways. Craig Johnstone said:“we are by no means medical experts, make no medical claims and do not give out medical advice.

“We sell our product as a food product to supplement your endocannabinoid system and would say that anyone who would like to try CBD should carry out their own independent research.

“We want to get CBD away from this‘stoner’ stereotype.

“people are surprised when they come into our nice office and see it is not like a back alley. What we do is legal.“
