Charity photo shoot in memory of Summer

Get a stunning portrait of your fur baby

A Hamilton photographer is organising a unique fundraiser after the heartbreaking loss of her beloved pet.

Jacqueline Porteous, who runs Luvphotography Fine Art Images, was devastated when her “fur baby” Summer, passed away recently.

The animal lover decided to arrange a fundraising venture in memory of Summer, offering fellow pet owners the chance of a portrait of them in exchange for a £10 donation for the Dog’s Trust.

Jacqueline explained: “I’d like to thank all my amazing clients for their kind words and patience after we lost our little fur baby Summer, leaving behind a sad little fur brother, Oscar, her cuddle partner, Eve, and her mummy – me!

“It’s amazing how an animal can become part of a family, everyday routine, even my business as the kids all loved her.

“I get that not everyone will understand the animal connection, but I have never lived in a home without a pet and never will.

“They bring great joy, unconditional love, loyalty and heart filled memories of tears, joy and laughter.”

She continued: “Therefore, in my little one’s memory and for all the fur babies looking for a new family, I’d like to offer a day of 10-minute mini sessions, where, instead of paying me, you will donate £10 to Dog’s Trust and in return get the mini session and an instant printed image of your family pet to take home that day.” The date of the portrait sessions will be announced soon.
