The group said a sad goodbye to Aileen Pollock their keep-fit instructor who has recently left them.

Thanks goes to Aileen for all the work she has done at LDVG.

A welcome is extended to Ben, the group’s new instructor, who has now joined them.

Come along and meet him on a Thursday from 9.30am-10.30am and Friday from 1-2pm. Gentle exercise to keep you fit and healthy.

The Genealogy group continues to meet on a Monday at 1pm and has recently welcomed some new members.

If you would like to find out what your ancestors got up to over the years, why not come along and make use of their ancestry package.

The willing helpers are on hand to help and guide you through the process.

The garden group are starting to run out of plants for sale but have had a very productive summer.

They have a couple of gardeners outings planned so give the group a call to find out more.

The walking group have planned their next sponsored walk going to Millport in September.

Last year’s trip was a huge success and they are hoping to repeat the experience.

The group will be coming round with sponsor sheets soon.

The lunch clubs at the LDVG centre and at Hareleeshi­ll are due to start up again next week.

New members welcome but booking required.

Needing some help with any small household jobs? Why not use the Handyperso­n service? The volunteers will help with small non-emergency jobs around the home for people.

The next football classics group is planned for Wednesday, August 15, at 1pm. Details to follow.
