Rakish: We will be ready
Striker Rakish Bingham insists Hamilton will be ready for their league opener at home to Hearts on Saturday.
Raks scored his second goal of the season in the 1-1 draw with Airdrie before netting the decisive penalty in a 3-0 shoot-out win.
And while he reckons Accies weren’t at their best, he insists they will be prepared for Hearts in their Premiership curtain-raiser.
Raks said:“we have quite a lot of new players in, we’re finally gelling, and hopefully when the league season starts we can get going.
“This is what we’ve been preparing for all pre-season – the camp away in Marbella and the few games we’ve had have been in preparation for the first official game of the season in the Premiership.
“Now we’re looking to take each game as it comes and hopefully we can do the job against Hearts.”
On his goal, Bingham said:“i’m delighted to get on the scoresheet again but disappointed we couldn’t see it out to the end. That’s something we’re going to need to develop and take in to Hearts on Saturday.
“We created quite a few chances, I had one or two which I should probably have put away, but most importantly we’re creating chances and it will come.
“Me and Mickel Miller are similar players, we have an understanding, and it happens in training, not just in games, so hopefully we can build on it.”
