£10k collected at Ella fundraiser
Ella Rose’s family held a fundraiser at the weekend to celebrate the youngster’s life and to thank the many hospital staff who have helped her over the past 17 months.
The fundraiser at the Parkville Hotel in Blantyre raised £10,000 for the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
Charlene said: “since Ella Rose’s birth, she has received the most amazing care from the wonderful staff at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
“We honestly can’t thank them all enough for the amazing care they’ve given Ella Rose and the support as parents we’ve both received throughout this difficult time. In my eyes they are my heroes and deserve so much praise for the amazing work they do every day helping sick children.
“We have to say a special thank you to Blue Parrot for providing us with our seat covers and personalised dance floor.
“Ella Rose absolutely loved it. The staff from the Parkville were amazing too.
“I could not have wished for a better evening and could not believe how much we managed to raise in Ella Rose’s name.
“My highlights of the evening were finding out how much we raised – and finding the strength and courage to speak about our difficult year.
“The smile and excitement in Ella Rose as she looked around the room just melted my heart.”
