Fresh from their performance at the Edinburgh International Festival, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra are coming to Hamilton.
On Friday, September 14, they will celebrate their 40th year of Scottish touring at The Town House with internationally-renowned artists Mark Simpson and Cristian Macelaru.
The SCO has delighted South Lanarkshire audiences over the years and they will return with clarinettist Simpson for an evening of inspiring music.
He will make his SCO debut performing Neilson’s Clarinet Concerto – the piece that catapulted him to fame in 2006 when he was named BBC Young Musician of the Year.
The summer tour offers free tickets to under-18s and £6 tickets for under26s, students and the unemployed.
