Singer Caitlin in UK final

A Viewpark singer-songwriter has made it to the final of a Uk-wide competition to uncover new talent.

Caitlin Agnew has been selected for the grand final of the Listen Up Music Songwriter’s Festival in London on November 8.

And Caitlin (16), a pupil at Cardinal Newman High School, competed against thousands of other entries.

She said: “I’m self-taught and write my own material.” Caitlin plays guitar, ukulele and keyboards. She has already appeared at Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow and locally at Blantyre Music Festival.
