Mrs Jessie Craik (left), who had lived in Hamilton for most of her life, celebrated her 100th birthday with a party in August 1988.

A very special guest was her‘wee’sister Mrs Liz Muir, of Douglas, who was then 98.

Also attending were most of Jessie’s seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two nephews.
