‘Video nasty’ band arrange Halloween gig

-

Controversial Blantyre band The Naked Feedback are set to host a spook-tacular Halloween themed event in aid of the town’s Terminal One youth organisation.

The four-piece will perform a set at Blantyre Miners’welfare on Saturday, October 27.

Earlier this year, they caused controversy when they filmed a music video showing a woman being strangled in a place of worship.

They had been given permission to shoot at Blantyre Old Parish – but the Reverend Sarah Ross was unaware of the content.

At the upcoming gig, revellers will also enjoy a magic show, hoop dancing and a burlesque performance for £10 a ticket, with proceeds being donated to the charity.

The band’s lead singer Dean Anderson told the Advertiser:“the event is Halloween-themed and will have ourselves performing alongside magic, hoop dancing and burlesque – the only kind of sordid Blantyre evening that pesky devil boys like ourselves would come up with!

“The whole night is structured around raising funds for Terminal One, a local community centre which is personally very close to ourselves and is the grassroots of many of Blantyre and Hamilton’s performing artists.

“Please come along and support this fun event.”

Tickets are available at www. blantyrehalloweenx. bigcartel.com or by clicking the link on the band’s Facebook page at www.facebook. com/2tnf2/

Managed by the Blantyreyouth Developmentteam, Terminal One has a committee made up from the young people from the surrounding area. With a diverse range of activities, the project provides an opportunity for young people to develop themselves through a host of avenues. It is based in Logan Street, Blantyre.
