Delphin: It’s credit to Livi

-

Delphin Tshiembe praised Livingston for beating Hamilton on Saturday and says sometimes you just can’t win.

Tshiembe was operating in a defensive midfield role at the Tony Macaroni Arena, and while he was disappointed with the 1-0 defeat, he says he and Hamilton will get better.

“It was tough, it was a tough game,” said the 26-year-old Congolese.

“I’m disappointed with the result. They scored a really wonderful goal, top corner ,and from there we had our difficulties to open them up and get chances.

“They were solid, and sometimes you need to take your hat off to your opponent and appreciate what they did, because they were solid.

“We were only 1-0 down so it was just one goal of a difference and we had a different attitude in the second half. They energy was good and we were pressing them, but we didn’t have that luck or quality to get that one goal so we could get back into the game.

“The game against St Mirren is massive, we definitely need to get three points, but this is a competitive league and we have to be more at it.”

On his own performances, Tshiembe said:“i feel it’s going the right way. It’s only my fourth game, I’ve been here for less than a month, so I still have a lot to learn.

“I still have a lot to improve in my game in this sort of football, so I’m feeling that it is going the right way.”
