Milton and Co are barrel of laughs

Review

Hamilton Town House played host to a mix of comedy at the weekend when Milton Jones and Friends took over the venue.

Headlining the show was the messy-haired master of the one-liner, Milton.

He was joined by four top Scottish comedians who each took their turn in having the audience in stitches with their performance.

Chris Forbes, star of BBC comedy Scotsquad, was an impressive host.

Connecting well with the audience he got them warmed up and ready for the gig.

First up was young comedian Gareth Waugh who entertained with his routine that looked at everything from getting fit to his height.

Graham Mackie, the self-proclaimed Santa look-alike, was up next and quickly became an audience favourite with his jokes about his own weight and his daughter’s make-up.

Gary Meikle followed and touched on his recent video that went viral about his daughter’s eyebrows and life as a dad raising his daughter.

Milton Jones was super quick witted with his one-liners and showed his talents as he interacted with the audience.

His unique style of comedy rounded off what was an amazing night of comedy.

Promoters behind the Milton Jones and Friends night told the Advertiser that this was their first live comedy event at the Town House and“they hope to bring some of the UK’S top comedians to the town”.

Well, if the show last Friday night was anything to go by I really do hope that the promoters keep their promise.
