Larkhalland Districtvolunteer Group
Have you booked your place yet for the Strutherhill shopping bus? If not get your skates on and reserve a seat on this free service going to Larkhall ASDA on a Wednesday at 10am. Call us for a registration form or pop into Chalmers Church to pick one up. The weekly genealogy group is growing stronger and has recently welcomed some new members.
Help is always on hand from our friendly and experienced volunteers to guide you through the ancestry minefield.
It’s an addictive hobby and you’ll be amazed by what you find. Our gardening group is starting to look at ideas for our Christmas coffee morning and craft fair, planned for Saturday, November 24.
If you could help in any way by filling and decorating planters, making wreaths etc come and give us a hand. Have you got some good ideas of your own? We’d love to hear about them. Join us on Wednesday mornings from 10am-noon, all welcome. Let us know you are coming as the group have some outings planned. Have you got some small household jobs needing done? Find out more about our free handyperson service for the over 55s.
Our volunteers will visit your home to carry out small non-emergency jobs, just let us know how we can help. As always we are looking for volunteer drivers to drive our wheelchair friendly mini buses.
Drivers would help transport members on a variety of trips and journeys.
Could you spare a few hours a week? Give us a call for more information on how you could help. Reasonable expenses paid.
