We need a run of wins

-

Striker James Keatings says Hamilton must be more consistent in a bid to climb the Premiership table.

Accies have won just two from seven league games this season – and Keatings reckons a run of good results is needed.

He said:“you need to get a bit of consistency and put the wins together.

“It has been win-draw-loss-win and we need to make sure we start picking up points every week.”

Watching from the sidelines, Keatings says Hamilton started too slowly in their 2-0 defeat at home to Dundee on Saturday.

James climbed off the bench in 60 minutes and made an impact, hitting the left post with a free-kick.

He said:“when I came on in the second half it kind of changed it, we had the momentum in the second half, hitting the woodwork and stuff like that. It wasn’t our day.

“We were hoping we could get one and carry it on from there but it wasn’t happening.

“We started far too slowly, paid the price for it, but in the second half we showed the right reaction, played the right way, and you could see the difference between the two halves.

“We’re disappointed to lose but we need to lift ourselves and look to the next one.

Had we won we would have been nine points clear of Dundee, instead it’s only three. ”
