Halloween revives a Carpenter classic

Win tickets to see sequel to 1978 horror movie

- Staff reporter

Your Advertiser has teamed up with our friends at the Vue Cinema to bring you yet another fantastic movie competition.

We have a pair of tickets to give away to a screening of Halloween, which was released last week.

Laurie Strode comes to face-to-face with masked murderer Michael Myers once again, exactly 40 years after he first terrorised the residents of Haddonfield.

The original Halloween (1978) shaped the horror genre for many years to come, made a star of Jamie Lee Curtis (The Fog, True Lies), and gave us one of cinema’s most haunting and iconic scores. The all-new Halloween forgets all nine of the franchise sequels, and instead acts as a follow-up to that first classic instalment.

John Carpenter, who directed and scored the first film, is back on board to compose a brand-new score and act as executive producer, while Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode.

Nick Castle also returns as Michael Myers, in the film which promises to deliver Laurie’s final confrontation with the silent-but-deadly serial killer.

Blumhouse Productions have been behind a number of criticallyacclaimed horror hits, including Get Out and Split, as well as the megapopular Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister and Purge franchises.

Tickets for all shows at the Vue cinema, all day, every day are £4.99.

To be in with a chance of winning the tickets for the screening fill out the coupon below and send it to: Hamilton Advertiser, Vue Competition, Brandon House, Brandon Street, Hamilton, ML3 6AB.

The deadline for entries is noon on Tuesday, November 6.

Good luck!
