Round-up

Dalziel’s search for a secondtennent’swest League 1 win of the season continues as they fell to a narrow defeat at home to Stewartry.

The Motherwell side were inevitably sent to the bottom of the table by the result.

Tries were scored by Fraser Mckenzie, Darren Moon, Andrew Glover and Jordan Burrell, with Moon slotting a conversion.

Uddingston strengthened their second-placed position in West League 1, with a comprehensive 55-19 win at home to Millbrae.

The result leaves the Villagers three points behind leaders Lenzie, who have a game in hand, but nine clear of Oban Lorne, who have played two fewer games.

It was a good day for Juan Jordan, who personally notched up 25 points through two tries, six conversions and a penalty.

Uddingston went 34-7 ahead at the interval through tries by Clinton Boyd, Callum Maxwell, Jordan, Stu Craig and Lenny Allen, with Jordan kicking a penalty and three conversions.

The Villagers scored a further three tries in the second half through Jordan, Ali Craig and Andrew Watson, with Jordan converting all three.

Millbrae added two further tries in the second half, taking their tally to 19.

On Saturday, Hamilton have a tough task to start trying to haul their way back up Tennent’s National League 1, when they entertain fourthplaced GHA at Laigh Bent.

David Gemmell’s side have lost five on the bounce and last won on September 22 when they beat Dundee HSFP 40-27.

Biggar will hope to stretch their lead in National League 2 when they host seventh-placed Peebles.

Dalziel travel to West League 1 leaders Allan Glen’s.

Strathaven will try to eat into their backlog in West League 2, where they are up to three games behind others.

They entertain 11th-placed Loch Lomond, having not played since beating Cumbernauld 27-12 on October 20.
