Festive funatthe Haven

Lanarkshir­e charity The Haven have a host of festive fun organised to help raise vital funds.

They are urging people to be a part of something special by supporting families affected by a range of life limiting-illness.

The charity has bases in Blantyre, Forth and Wishaw.

A Christmas party night will be held in Carrigan’s, Blantyre on Saturday, December 1. There will be a three-course meal of festive food, fun fundraisin­g and a disco for £25.

Get into the festive spirit with the Rock Choir on Friday, December 7. With songs from Christmas carols to The Greatest Showman, this night of uplifting music in St Andrew’s Church, Blantyre, with over 80 choir members is one not to be missed. Tickets are £9 per person.

Lynsay Cooper, Haven communicat­ions officer said: “What better way to give back, while having fun with friends and family.

“These events help raise vital funds for The Haven, and will help us to continue to support families living in our community whose lives have been affected by a wide range of illnesses, such as cancer, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia and Parkinson’s disease.”

The Haven supports people across the whole of North and South Lanarkshir­e on a selfreferr­al basis. All services are free and confidenti­al.
