Sports fans are in for a treat with news that two football legends and a boxing hero will take to the stage in Lanarkshire.

Fsg/goldstar Promotions will host an evening with Gordon Strachan and Neil Lennon at Motherwell Concert Hall and Theatre tomorrow night (February 15).

This event will be followed by the arrival of British boxing legend Chris Eubank at the Bothwell Bridge Hotel on Saturday, April 6.

The former professional boxer, who competed from 1985 to 1998 and held the WBO middleweight and supermiddleweight titles, is a huge draw for fans of the sport and is bound to be a sell out.

The event will include a threecourse meal, interviews, meet and greet, photo opportunities a question and answer session and a memorabilia auction.

Event organiser Francis Gilluley, who owns FSG Promotions and the Fighting Scots Gym in Bellshill, said: “Both of these events have already proved hugely popular with sports fans across Lanarkshire.

“Neil Lennon and Gordon Strachan will undoubtedly keep the audience amused with their many footballing stories, and Chris Eubank has always been known for his eccentric personality and will prove very entertaining indeed.”

Football stars Barry Ferguson, Lee Mcculloch, Ian Durrant, Paul Gascoigne and the one-and-only Pele have also entertained sell out crowds.

Proceeds from the upcoming Gordon Strachan, Neil Lennon and Chris Eubank events will be distributed to the Fighting Scots Community Boxing Club, in Bellshill, later in the year.

Boxers from the club are set to take part in FSG Promotions’ upcoming Fight Night XXI event at the Alona Hotel, Motherwell, on Saturday, March 9.

Those set to take to the ring include Ricardo Cirignaco, Allen Pegman, Sean Douglas, Kris Wilson, Chris Buchanan, Cameron Kerr, Wiliam Strachan, Andrew Mcgee, Calum O’brien and Aaron Caldwell.

The event is sanctioned by the European Boxing Federation and tickets are available now via the Fighting Scots Gym.
