Cars stolen after break-in

Police Scotland are appealing for informatio­n after a house was broken into and cars were stolen in Uddingston.

At around 5.40am on Tuesday, June 25, two men broke the window of a property in Kylepark Drive and the keys to a silver Audi A4 and a grey Peugeot 3008 were taken.

The two males, who had got out of a silver Citroen Berlingo van that was driven by a third man, then drove off in the stolen vehicles.

Officers say the first suspect is described as being in his early 20s, of slim build and was wearing a black jacket with the hood up as well as black gloves, a black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The second suspect is described as being in his early 20s, of slim build with short dark hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark blue denim jeans and white trainers.

Police currently do not have a descriptio­n of the third man who did not get out of the van.

Constable Sandy Orr, Larkhall Police Office, said:“we are appealing for anyone with any informatio­n regarding this housebreak­ing and theft to get in touch with us.

“The motive of this was unknown and we would also ask anyone who may have seen either car that was taken to get in touch so we can return them to the owner.

“We believe they may have been driven off towards Blantyre or Cambuslang and would also ask anyone who may have been between Uddingston and Blantyre or Cambuslang that morning to check any dash-cam footage. You may have informatio­n that can help us.”
